The Albert Engineering Leadership Scholars Endowment Program was established to invest in the next generation of engineering student leaders to produce graduates distinguished by their excellence in applied learning, campus involvement, and professional development. This scholarship is renewable for up to three additional years contingent upon maintaining a cumulative GPA of 3.0, maintaining full-time enrollment, and meeting program requirements.

Completing this application serves as one of two required steps to be considered for the Albert Engineering Scholarship. Eligible students must also complete the Honors College Admission Application by the priority deadline of December 1, 2022, and also complete the UNC Charlotte Admission Application by the early action deadline of November 1, 2022.

If you meet the eligibility requirements, you'll receive an email within two business days detailing how to apply to the Honors College. This email will be sent to the address supplied on your UNC Charlotte admission application. Scholarship Criteria
- Completing this application serves as one of two required components to be considered for the Albert Engineering Scholarship. Students who meet all eligibility criteria below must also complete the Honors College Admission Application by the priority decision deadline of December 1, 2022, and the UNC Charlotte Admission Application by the November 1, 2022 early action deadline
- To access the Honors College admission application, check the box in the UNC Charlotte admission application to indicate your interest in the Honors College. If you meet the eligibility requirements, you'll receive an email within two business days detailing how to apply to the Honors College. This email will be sent to the address supplied on your UNC Charlotte admission application. If you completed your UNC Charlotte Admission Application, but have not received an email from the Honors College, click here.
- Eligible Major(s): All Engineering
- Freshman enrolled full time
- Unweighted High School GPA = 3.50-4.00 OR Weighted High School GPA = 3.80-5.00
- U.S. citizen or U.S. permanent resident
- Demonstrated experiences that reflect ethical leadership, individual development, and a commitment to community service
- Superior performance as demonstrated by high school grades, class standing, and merit-based honors and awards
- Completing this application serves as one of two required components to be considered for the Albert Engineering Scholarship.
