Law Enforcement Memorial Scholarship

This scholarship was established in 1987 in memory of Robert L. Smith and all other officers slain in the line of duty to provide financial support to students pursuing study in Law Enforcement within the College of Liberal Arts & Sciences.

This scholarship was made possible by the generous contribution of Friends of UNC Charlotte.

Scholarship Criteria

• Eligible Major(s): Criminal Justice
• Demonstrated financial need as determined by the Office of Financial Aid
• Sophomore, Junior or Senior
• College GPA = 2.50-4.00
• Full Time
• Preference given to applicants who express and demonstrate an interest in law enforcement
• Applicant must submit three letters of recommendation - one from a teacher or other school official and two from other adults not related to the you
